Default Cords hanging on Drivers side

So on the back side of TM there are the electrical cords. I bought mine used, and the dealer zip tied the cords onto the torsion bars. I have to make sure I cut the zip tie before opening. But I'm worried I might forget once, then when I pop it up the wires might get pulled too hard and ripped from the trailer when it opens. I know there has to be a better way? If I don't have the cords zip tied on the torsion bar when folded down they would hang dangerously to low to the ground and tire while traveling. Any suggestions? Zip ties work, but that can't be the solution.
