Default Lemons to avoid?

Are there any years of manufacturing a TM that should be avoided? We are looking for a 3124 KB OR 2518KB to purchase when the border opens in the Western states.

Default lemons?

TM factory #1 (Tennessee) closed in 2011. my understanding is the quality went down a bit at the end. 2010 and earlier are very good builds. We have a 2007, that we bought in 2015 after trying to get a new one from TM factory #2 (Nebraska) That factory never really got it together, so they couldn't deliver on our order. The few that did get built, a good percentage had QC issues based on what I have read in this forum. Factory #3, (South Dakota) opened up in 2018. It took them a while to ramp up their factory, but my understanding is the QC is very good. So there are probably slim pickin's 2011-2017, and I would be very cautious with those years.

Interesting that your looking for a 3124KB or a 2518KB... Curious why you’re set on one end of the size spectrum or the other?

Hi Shane,
We're really interested in one with a king and another bed because of family going out camping with us. Personally, I wouldn't mind just a kb and couch, but that's not what my husband wants. Those are the two models I've found that have this feature. Do you know of any other?
Thanks,
Brenda

Ah. 2922KB would also fill that order. 2417 and 2518 have king beds, but they are getting pretty small.

We have a 3326KS. I’ve said before I wish they had offered the 3326KB.

Hi Shane,
What are you going to sell your 3326 for? I am across the country and in Canada but would like to be considered as a potential buyer. As you know, I cannot buy TMs here in Canada or at this moment cross the border. Can you please send pictures?
Thanks kindly, Brenda.

It’s not for sale at this time... I’ll keep you in mind though. Canada & cross country would make it tough!

Thanks for getting back to me. I thought your trailer would be a good one because it will be in pristine condition. We just bought a 3326 KS in Colorado and I have lined up an RV storage to store for however long the border remains closed. If might not be until spring. but it will be outside in a gated property. The dealer will winterize and he says there is a cover. Is there anything else we should be having him to prior to it being left for the winter?
Thanks and congrats on your new 5th wheel!

You should be sure you understand what the dealer means by "winterize", and how he knows how to do it on a TM specifically. There are a lot of how-to-winterize discussions on this forum. You should find one that sounds complete, print it, and make sure the storage guy reads it and understands it. Winterizing a TM isn't hard, but ...

He will spend a lot of time trying to find the water heater bypass - and there isn't one. On the other hand, if he doesn't get the water out of the outside shower, pipes will freeze and break.
