OK, I learn something every day on this Forum. I was not aware that different TM models (years) had different construction in that area. Obviously something has changed. I can think of two possibilities.
o If the cabinet was made slightly wider, it would cover more of the wheel well liner. It would also reduce the distance between the cabinet and the tub surround, of course.
o If the body of the TM is lifted higher off the axle, then a shallower wheel well liner would do the job, and less of it would need to protrude through the floor. I recall that at some point, TM began including a factory-installed lift kit on the axle. And not long after that, they changed the initial angle of the axle suspension arm.
Either change would make the difference shown in your two photos. Bottom line - you are on top of this issue (or non-issue), and that is good. But later, if another owner wants to retrofit your tank onto his TM, and if his TM has the big triangle shown in photo 1, it will be a complication.

Am I correct that the 2518 and 2619 sit higher than the larger models? So, that may indicate a shallower wheel well as you mention. We have a 3023, and I think the position of the wheel well is entirely under the sink (though I may be wrong), but I'll confirm this the next time I open it up.

I know the 2518 sits quite a bit higher, and has totally different wheel wells. Not sure about 2619.

Bill- I think the bathroom dimensions stay the same, it’s more based on where the axle is in relation to the bathroom. That’s why the 2518 sits so high and has to have a cassette toilet; the axle is directly under the bathroom which means there is nowhere for the dump plumbing.

I plan on installing a 2.5" lift kit anyway. I think that should cure any space issue for the wheel well.
One thing that I really like about lifting the trailer is that you don't have to open the trailer or take off the fender skirts to get the wheels off.

I have the 2.5" lift kit installed, and I still have to open the shells/remove the fender skirts to pull a wheel. I learned that on the side of the road, in fact.

On my 2005 2720SL (with lift kit) I could get my tires off without removing anything. I'm hoping that my 2009 will be the same. At any rate, it should remove the wheel well clearance issue for my holding tank install.
My 1998 2720 with lift kit, I couldn't get the wheels off without opening.

I imagine it also makes a difference if you have 14" or 15" wheels -- I have 15".
