Default Duct hose at rear of refrigerator

Hi-I am sorry for asking so many questions, but I have another…
While cleaning my 2020 trailmanor, I took off the black vent covers that are on the exterior behind the refrigerator. In the top one, I found a length of 4” duct hose that was torn and just hanging from a wire clip in the top of the compartment. I could see no duct that it should be attached to….
Can anyone tell me what this hose is for and how it should be attached?
( photos attached)

Thanks,
Dennis (hopefully, this is my last question for awhile)

While it ain't pretty, it is OK as is. The lower end of the hose terminates at a fan that is mounted on the floor, above a screened hole. The fan blows downward, pulling air from the top of the compartment, down through the hose, and out through the screened hole. You have an ON-OFF switch for this fan on the apron in front of the kitchen sink.

The purpose of the whole thing is to remove heat that the refrig mechanism creates as it runs. This is important when the TM is closed, since the heat would otherwise be trapped in the compartment. It also is helpful when the TM is open, on a really hot day. Removing the excess heat makes the cooling mechanism operate more effectively. You might want to reinforce the top of the hose to prevent it from unwrapping further, but other than that, leave it alone.

I'm not sure what the second picture is all about. Is the water simply left over from the cleaning?

Default Duct hose

Thanks again Bill—I put the second picture in to just show where the location was that I found the duct hose…
