Default I contacted Timken via its Contact link

My question: What is the country of manufacture of Timken tapered roller bearings sets 4 and 17?

The answer: Made in the USA

That is great to hear, thanks for the update. Presumably the Amazon product page on them is incorrect.

I just cleaned, inspected, and repacked the original bearings on my 15 year old Trailmanor. There are all in fine shape. No need to replace.

Getting the rear seal out of the hub/drum assembly was difficult. Other than that, the job was straight-forward. Some of the grease was really thick from being old and the grease between the rear bearing and seal smelled. Glad I got everything cleaned out and reconditioned. I've been putting off this job for far too long...

Does anyone have a step-by-step guide for checking and repacking the bearings? (Preferably one with pictures). I bought a used 2003 TM last year, towed it home over 100 miles with no problem, but I do not know what condition the bearings are in or if they ever been replaced. Although it is in very good condition and looks like it was well taken care of, but what if the bearings or even the brakes need to be changed.
