2002 Mazda Tribute as a TV for a 2720SL
Based on everything I’ve read, I think I know the answer is but here is yet another ‘can my TV handle it’ question: We are looking at a 2720SL. The dealer says the empty weight with options is 3,219 lbs. The candidate TV is a 2002 Mazda Tribute 3.0L V6 with tow package which includes a tranny cooler. It’s rated at 3,500. I can’t figure out the maximum tongue weight. It came with a class 2 hitch that will need to be replaced with a class 3. We live in the Midwest and expect mostly moderate hills travel, however, Missouri and Arkansas Ozarks will be a frequent destination. The dealer believes our Tribute will do fine. What's your opinion?
