Unhappy Coleman Roof Air Conditioner Broke

My roof A/C is only blowing hot air. Is the issue something I can fix (if so, how) or do I need to have it serviced? It's a Coleman Mach.

You have kind of answered your own question since it is not working. You can check the electrical schematics for a/c and see if there are any inline fuses and see if they are intact.

If the compressor is not switching on there could be a number of things wrong.

1. The compressor is just shot.
2. Thermostat faulty
3. Wiring problems
4. Leaky system and freon depleted
5. Compressor thermal shutdown switch faulty

If you are handy with a meter and know your way around electrical circuits you can probably narrow down your problem. As far as service goes, be careful not to exceed the cost of a replacement a/c.

Can you give us some more to go on? What year of TM? What happened? Did it work yesterday and quit today? Did you smell any smoke in the TM from the A/C? Have you tried turning the temperature knob all the way over to make sure the compressor would kick on? Are the filters dirty? Many of us have had the compressor starting capacitor go bad and not let the compressor start. Others have had freon leaks while others have had wiring issues in the control switch. As NG2951 pointed out, there are many possible problem areas with the A/C. Dive into the forum posts and you'll find lots of good info to help you troubleshoot your A/C. There are also several folks here that can help.
