Default 2005 TM 2720 tub faucet leaking

does anyone know if this faucet just has some common washers in the unit that I could replace. if not how do I get to this unit to replace it? I am guessing the outdoor shower must be removed outside?

please advise!

A picture of the faucet would help.

TM used many different faucet sets over the years. A pic would tell us which one you have.

This is the one.I assume I can pop off the center caps on the plastic faucet handles and get at the Washers from the tub side? If not how do I get access? Assume the outdoor shower access? I already put Teflon tape on the shower hose. Water is coming from the hot and cold handles.

Are you sure that the leak is in the hot/cold valves? If they are leaking, you can remove the knobs (Philips screw behind that plastic cap) remove the knobs by pulling and wiggling gently. Take out the valves (they just screw out). Either replace the valves (cartridges) or reseal them. Take the valves to most any hardware store and they should be able to match them up. The valves are not the same. Be sure to get one "Hot" and one "cold".

A more common leak is that little black fitting that the shower hose screws onto. Turn on the faucets with the shower head tuned to the "off" position and wiggle the white shower hose attachment around some (the end closest to the faucet). If the water leak increases, that black plastic fitting is cracked. It's a good idea to replace that plastic fitting with a brass fitting anyway. I got mine at Home Depot.

Just a tip...... don't use teflon tape anywhere on the faucets or any hose that has a washer.

Thank you... I am positive the water is coming out of the hot and cold side. I was able to turn the hose and stop the leak there. I will get in there and do this. Do you happen to know how to access the back of the unit if I wanted to get an upgrade?

I gave you detailed instructions in another post.

It involve cutting a 5.25" hole through the the outside wall and (after your repair) installing a 5" deck plate.

That answer my question perfectly... thank you. I do have an outside shower on my 2720 and hope not to have to switch this out or cut a hole. But I will check if the outside shower was placed strategically by the factory to be able to access the back of the tub faucet.

What's a good alternative shower massager and tub faucet that others have put in their trailmanor as an upgrade?
