Latch on hanging cabinet - "Inquiring minds want to know"

On the larger hanging cabinet in our 2014 2922KD there is one half of a latch (like the ones that connect shower pieces together).
Any idea why that is there? Or what is could be used for?

When we pack up I set the small cupboard on top of the large one and the other half of the snap is on the small one. They slide together and the snap holds them together...

Doh! Now I'll have to open it up and look and the small cabinet...don't recall seeing it there, but I wasn't looking.
