Default Shower wall hinge

I broke the hinge slide on the front half of the shower. Are these items easily obtained from TM?
I have a trip coming up and figure I could just hack off the end where it is cracked (maybe an inch) and put it back on. The shower wall is just sitting in place and I want to get it re-attached for the trip.

Any advice or any alternatives that aren’t thin plastic?

Thanks!

I don't think we've ever had this request here on the forum, so I will wing it.

To get your trip under way, I would just hack it off as you suggest - it doesn't appear that you can fix it, and it appears that the slide will work properly if you are careful. Longer term, you could call or email the TM factory parts department (I think the address is [email protected], but confirm at their site) about getting a replacement.

I don't know that you will be able to find a sturdy metal replacement, and I am not sure I would do it if I could. Better to replace a broken plastic hinge than have the screws rip out of the wood. The real question is - do you know how you broke it? If you do, the answer is obvious - don't do it again. If it is somehow a mystery, you need to investigate further.

I have no idea how it happened. It just came out of the tracks on the last trip @ teardown and I think we weren't paying attention.

I dont think it will be an issue. When the shower wall is up, the hinge and the track are almost perfectly even, and at teardown it only sticks out the width of the door (I think we twisted it last trip).

TM has them, they are $26. I had to order one for each of my TMs.

I camped with mine like that for 5 years until I realized there was supposed to be a hinge. You don't really need it. I ordered a new one from TM and just installed it yesterday.
We'll see if it makes things easier.
