AC short cycling, compresser won't stay on.
We have a 2010 3124 KB and cannot get the ac to cool it. The compressor keeps coming on and shutting off within a minute. Air does blow out of the unit and the fans do work. But the air does not come out of the vents cool, except for seconds the compressor is on. This is our first time using it and we have no idea where to begin troubleshooting. Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks!

To me, this doesn't sound like a simple repair. Then again, I think most problems with AC units aren't very simple. Given your TM is brand new, why mess with it? I would take it to a facility for a warranty repair. I don't think it has to be a TM dealer -- I believe the only warranty on the unit is actually through your AC unit manufacturer, so just lookup a facility on their website.

If the compressor is working and just short cycling it usually means low refrigerant level.

It could be low refrigerant, it could be a bad thermostat, it could be a few other things. However, I wouldn't touch it if I were you. It's under warranty. I'd let them mess with it.
If you open it up and try to fiddle with it, you could end up voiding the warranty on that repair.

Check the probe coming out of the thermostat. Make sure it is in the flow of the intake air, and not the exiting cool air.

Unfortunately, we bought the unit last year. Due to a bunch of complications with our original tow vehicle we missed the camping season and are just now taking it for it's first trip. The ac did work when the dealer gave us our walkthrough and explanation on how to use the unit. We stored it outside closed under an Aquashed tarp, until we had a new TV and free vacation time. So here we are in the heat of the summer, with no ac and no warranty.

OK.........let's start with the basics.......how do you have the TM plugged in? If you are using an extension cord from the house to the 30A cord on the TM........what size & length is the extension cord?
If the AC is getting low voltage, it will do what you are describing. You could start the AC and check the voltage in one of the TM outlets. If it's under 105V, that could be your issue.
Once we are sure that you have enough voltage to run the AC, we can go from there.

Are you sure? Most air conditioners have a 1 year warranty plus a 5 year warranty on the sealed compressor unit and coils. I'd still contact the dealer and find out if they wouldn't help solve this problem.
At any rate it is a good idea to make sure you have the correct voltage coming to the unit like Wayne is saying. At least you can confirm to the dealer that isn't a problem.

The OP said in his first post, that the AC short cycles, and for the short time the compressor is on, it blows cool air. This does not sound like low voltage. Remove the filter cover and check the position of the thermostat probe. It should be directly above the filter. If you can't do that, then take the unit to a dealer.

I am currently hooked up at a campground, using 30 amp service and the cord attached to the TM itself, plugging into the electrical box. All other electrical systems seems fine. The lights work and electronics charge normally by wall outlets without a problem.
