Default New TM Owner Intro

I saw JimLilly's post and figured I'd chime in too.

We've been drooling over TMs for several years, and finally bit the bullet last month, as The Car Show in Colorado Springs was winding down business.

We picked up a 2006 3023, and we couldn't be happier. We picked it up, went through our orientation, then went straight home to grab a change of clothes, some food and the dogs for our first night out. It was like dry camping in a hotel. Ha!

Going through it, my priorities are adding LED strip lighting under the awning for exterior light and converting the incandescent lights (exterior and interior) to LED...just to cut down power usage.

It pulls like a dream, obviously no issue for the TV in the pic I'm attaching. The other TV is a 2004 V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee, so no problems.

I've read a lot so far, and I'm excited to learn more.

We took our first trip two weeks ago - we took grandchildren for 2 weeks to the Cape and the Adirondacks. We LOVED the TM!! We used to camp, but I requested a bed and a bathroom for my return to camping - and it all works beautifully. We are planning another short trip this fall, then 6 or so weeks next winter. My husband is busy modifying and fixing, and I am making new curtains. Fun you found a 3023 - we live in northern Michigan, and felt lucky to find a 2720 in Ohio - and it is plenty big enough.....but I would have liked to find a longer one. I also really enjoy this forum - people are SO helpful, and it's full of great, helpful info!

Also, in addition to this OUTSTANDING site, the following sites have many hints and tips which can be applied to TrailManor:

www.popupportal.com

www.popupexplorer.com

I frequented both of these sites (and others) when I had popups, and continue to check in an glean good info after I purchased my 2010 R-Pod and now my 2001 2720.

Welcome and enjoy!
