You are right. I see the part number on the body in your photo.

Pull elbows are generally intended for use with conduit, not cable, and the ends include a weather seal. In yours, when the elbow was cut off, it took the weather seal with it, which is why it was filled with water. Beyond that, my guess is that the damage to the cable shown in your earlier photo was caused by pulling a cable through a fixture meant for conduit. If the installer had simply enlarged the hole in the wall a bit, he could have poked the elbow through it, and all would be well. Or he could have chosen a better fitting.

I'll check to see how my TM is built, but I wouldn't suggest duplicating what you have.

The hole in the trail manor is too small. Came from the factory that way.

Don't see how I can make it bigger. I will think yours is the same.

The box where it meets the shell was completely sealed with silicone. The box filled with water due to a faulty gasket. In my opinion after many years of service since the trail manor is a 2007. Got it all back together and looking forward to many more years. Thanks to everyone for their help.

Talking outside looks perfec!

Your 'caulked' the new box against the upper shell all the way around 3m #4200 boat sealant or equivalent, I assume), and the black rubber weather seal underneath the cover of the new box is present, sealed tight, and and undamaged.

If the Romex pigtail ends within the box don't break off from, wear and tear in the future, this should last indefinitely. NICE JOB.

Thanks Ricks29. I did seal all the way around and feel like it will last the life of the camper.
