Top Mount Awning

Has anyone replaced the Fiamma F45i awning with a top mount ? I am looking at reducing the width of my TM so it will fit into an 8' garage door & the awning is the biggest contributor to excess width.

Since mine would cost over $700 to repair, I am looking into replacement. Suggestions are welcome.

BTW the original is a 3.5M awning 11'3" wide.

Don't know if anyone has...but Popbeavers did a hinge mod to his so it could be placed out of the way on the roof

I'm not sure what Popbeavers did, but I did a mod so that it can be stored on the roof as well.
