Exclamation Oven Problem To Watch Out For

During a great 2 week trip to Colorado this month we tried to fire up the oven to roast some tomatoes. The pilot lit just fine but when the main burner kicked in it was like a blast furnace going off - scary. Turned it off ASAP. No more oven use this trip...dropped it off at the dealer on the way home. Turns out there is an aluminum tube which runs from the the oven control knob/valve to the back of the oven and enters there. This tube had a fracture which resulted in a major gas leak - fortunately only when the oven was turned on.

Hopefully it was just a bad component and this won't recur. But, something to look out for.

The tomatoes roasted just fine in the microwave.
