There are no studs at all. There is a perimeter frame made of aluminum since about 2001 or so. Before that the perimeter frame would have been wood. Even around the windows there is no wood. The window frame provides the strength for the opening.

If there is wood within the walls, the type is usually “rotted”.

Knowing that there is no wood within the walls is a relieving fact. Thanks.

Wood
No wood within the walls, but there is wood around the shell openings. The major reason for this is so that you can staple the vinyl in place. I just replaced the wood on the front shell. But I would highly recommend only replacing rotted wood there. If it is wet let it dry and reseal. As noted in my recent thread on the shell and others as well, it is a big project to replace. I really only had about 5 ft of rotten wood. Could have kept the rest.

I misinterpreted your question a little. What year is your TM?
Over the span of about 1999 to 2002, wood framed walls were replaced with aluminum framing. A wood perimeter frame remains around the floor and a few places in the shell where stapling is required, and around the vents in the roof. The wood in the floor is unlikely to rot because the design pretty much prevents water from getting into the lower box. The wood on the center ends of the shell can rot, but is fairly easily replaced. The wood around the vent holes in the roof may rot, but you'd notice the water before any rot would start.

I would hope that any wood within the structure is mad of non rotting types as below..
Rot-Resistant Wood
Old-Growth Cypress – The old-growth version of this resistant wood has so much more heartwood than its new or second-growth cousins that it is harder and has much greater resistance to rot and insects.
Cedar (Eastern White or Western Red) – Cedar is a great wood for exterior work.

Rot will depend on time, where and how stored, and how it was maintained. I had some wood rot at the end of the shell. I just got some treated 2x4, ripped it to the right size, removed the vinyl seal and replaced the strip. My trailer was 15 years old. So far only one piece seems to have suffered rot and the others seem okay.
I don't know what wood Trailmanor used, and that may have changed over the years. You can get an idea of the condition of the wood trying to tighten the screws holding the vinyl seals at the ends of the trailer. If they tighten well, the wood is likely good.

Ours is a 1997 2720. There is aluminum tubing in the upper shell. You can check it out by looking at the lower corners of said shell. As said before, it makes a BIG difference in condition if the TM has been stored covered, or ideally, in a covered garage, barn, etc.

I think the big addition was when they went to amulimum rafters. I think that was 202 or 2003.
