Default Adding a second battery recommendations

Hello,
I am looking into replacing my Group 27 12v Battery with two Golf cart 6v Batteries. I have taken a look at the following threads and have done a little researching.

Any Recommendations of Battery Brand/type, installation tips or suggested Battery Supply Shops?

I currently have a 2000 2720SL with the 6300 Converter, will this pose any charging issues of maintaining (2) 6v Golf Batteries?

Thanks,
CastleRockCamper

No more than with the single 12 volt.

When I upgraded our TM last spring (also a 2000 model), I replaced the 6300 with a Progressive Dynamics Intelipower 9100 series (for faster charges) and bought two Trojan T-105 6 V golf cart batteries. I bought the converter at Camping World and bought the battery locally ( Go to http://www.trojanbattery.com and use the dealer finder link).

Just a word of warning. The 6300 series converter will eventually overcharge any battery. A pair of big golf cart batteries will take longer to overcharge than a standard Group 24 12-volt battery, but it will happen, given enough time (which probably means a week or two). So if you are going to put your TM in extended storage, it is probably better to fully charge the battery(ies), then disconnect them - rather than leaving the 6300 permanently in place.
