Default Wanting It All

As I mentioned in my first post, I want it all; small size and comfy chairs. I'm currently vacillating between the 2720 and 3023 models w/beds on both ends. My assumption (correct me if I'm wrong, I visualizing all of this) is that the front bed slides horizontally in over the dinette but doesn't drop down. Could I delete the dinette (on a new order) or remove it from a used TM and put 2 chairs in its place if chair height is equal or less than the dinette? Thanks again. This is a great site and I will be joining as a real member soon.
I'm off to Helena on state business for a week so might not get back to see the responses but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate them.
In case anyone is curious the "Realbtl" is my '63 rag sunroof type 1, mildly customized and my good weather car. If you're up near Glacier and see that license plate give me a wave.

You're correct - the bed slides in but doesn't drop down. However, it would be rather difficult to "delete" the dinette. On the 2720, under one of the benches you have the fresh water tank and pump and under the other is the furnace. I'm not sure what the arrangement is on the 3023 although I'm pretty sure the water tank is under the "couch/bed". They do sell a 2619 Sport that is basically stripped - no bathroom, no refrigerator, no stove, etc. Maybe that's what you need - then you can set it up the way you want it. There's a "Sport" for sale here: http://www.postrv.com/database/inven....asp?id=292668 But no pictures.

I think you may be able delete half the dinette on the 3023. I believe the tank and furnace is under the road side couch/bed, but the other couch has just drawer storage although there may be an AC outlet or speaker to deal with. So you perhaps could put your comfy chair where the 2nd sofa is. In fact, I think the older 3023s could be ordered with an armchair or two instead of the curb side couch. You may as well keep the table - it folds out of the way anyway and you'll need somewhere to eat.
However, better let someone who actually has a 3023 confirm or correct these assumptions.

Yes, the water tank and furnace are under the couch/bed. The other side has drawers under the seating area. The reason we got the 3023 was we wanted the seating area that the two couches provided. The table between the couches folds away, so you really do have a nice open area between the couches.

You may be able to special order a TM without the dinette. The water tank and pump could be installed under the sink like it is in the 2720SL. The furnace could be installed under the stove if it will fit aroud the wheel well intrusion. I haven't seen a furnace installation in this location, so you would have to ask the factory if it is possible.

Thanks all. This may have been one of those "sounded like a good idea at the time" moments. I'm flying to San Diego in 3 weeks and will try and find a dealer nearby so I can do some serious checking out.
