Entry assist handle/bar

Has anyone mounted an entry assist handle or bar on the outside next to the door frame? I did not find anything about it in the forums. Maybe I am just not looking in the right place. I am thinking that I will want to mount one of those folding rails on the upper section next to the left side of the door frame.

We are also interested in the answer to this question. Elderly parents (who have owned numerous travel trailers) were expecting this handle when entering our TM.

I have some interest as well. DW has really bad knees. Next weekend I will watch what she des to get up the steps. I know that she has to hold on, but I just never paid attention as to what it is that she grabs. I just know that it isn't me.
