Default Custom bumper hitch on my TM

Referring to a For Sale ad, Redhorseman asked

Hi,
I noticed your ad and its age, so not knowing if you still own it, I am interested in knowing more about the the hitch you mentioned... on the back of the TM. I have a 2619 and would like to tow a small motorcycle trailer, but didn't know it was possible. Can you tell me more and maybe send pictures. I would love to move up to a larger TM, like yours, but probably can't afford it. Thanks,
Clint

Default Hitch

We took our TM to a machine shop and asked him to build us a simple hitch that would pull a small ATV trailer. We thought this would cost around $200 or so. When we picked it up we were charged $450 but there is nothing simple about it! It is bolted and welded to the frame in numerous places and he told us it would handle up to 450 lbs. tongue weight. (4,500 lbs) I, personally, would NEVER tow something heavier than the TM behind it.

Also, since we haven't gotten to use our TM but a few times since we have owned it, we have never put anything but a luggage tray on this hitch.

If you want to talk about our TM, you can call me at 208.634.2127. We are a bit flexible on price.

This is called "triple towing" and is not allowed in all states, check this site out.

wow, thanks for the spreadsheet. You mean Triple Tow. I can't believe that any state will allow for a rider in a 5th wheel? That is just crazy thinking.

This would be another good site to look at. http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2009/02...ouble-tow.html
