I like getting them at national chains. I like the idea that if I have a problem, I can get it at one of their shops. Also, many national chains have a pro-rated road hazard warranty for free. Helps if there is a issue
I like being able to remove the tires each year and have them re-balance for free. So I do not buy online or mail order tires.

I bought these from Etrailer, so far I like them very well, Granted I only have about 1000 miles on them now maybe a little more. They did well on highway and very well in dirt / rock road. Had Discounted tire mount and balance them, charged me 10 bucks and gave me the lifetime balancing included

Agree. For all the same reasons.

I got my last tires (Maxxis) online from Discount Tires on Ebay. They offered the best price and when I took them to my local Discount Tire shop they mounted them for free because I bought them from the chain. They also balanced them and I think that is a life of the tire thing as well. I also got the road hazard warranty so if something ever happens (and they've got stores all across the country) I can get another one at a greatly discounted price or almost for free even. It cost me an extra $30 a tire for this, but at $140 a pop (which by the way is a great price for 16" Maxxis tires) it's worth it! Keep an eye on Ebay.
