Default 2417 Fridge

The 2417 would be ideal if the sink and fridge were reversed, thus allowing room for a larger fridge.

Yes, but then the sink would be much lower. The bed slides over the fridge when closed, so the sink would have to be low. Then, you would have the stove next to the bed on the front end.

All in all, I think it is a workable design. I don't think the 2417 is intended for month-long trips, so the fridge is there to supplement a cooler. It worked great for us on our week-long trip.
