Confused About WDH and Sway Bars

IMHO kenngeri2720 are doing the right thing within exactly the same limitations that you will have to live with. Your properly loaded 4 Runner will work towing a properly loaded TM2619 with a properly set up WDH. You will not need sway control. The Colorado and the California/Nevada mountains are similar enough to each other that I am certain that kenngeri2720's experience is directly applicable to your initial inquiry. They can also provide advice on downhill braking problems, if any.

Find out what the Gross Combined Vehicle Weight Rating of your 4 Runner is and do not exceed it. That's the total weight of the fully loaded 4 Runner plus the total weight of your fully loaded TM 2619.

Find out what the Rear Axle Weight and the Front Axle Weight Ratings of your 4 Runner are and do not exceed them.

These ratings are usually listed on the door pillar of any vehicle set up with a tow package.
