Default Where Date?

Would someone please tell me where to find the manufacturing date on my TM tires. I have looked both "inside and outside" of tires and cannot find it.

Thanks:

WGW

These links may help you find the DOT date code on your tires:

The last four digits (but possibly 3 if manufactured before the year 2000) after all the letters and numbers following the word DOT on the sidewall are all that concern the date of manufacture. The first 2 digits tell the week, and the last 2 digits tell the year.

If there are only 3 digits, then the first 2 tell the week and the last one tells the year (pre 2000).

Boy you folks have me re-thinking my purchase. (Used 04 2720SL) (Have not picked it up yet) It sounds like trailer tires are prone to failing as you drive down the road I can't find anything other than the size of tire 14"in the paper work from TrailManor. One person on this forum noted that they had 195R14C Load Range D. Cooper. Also it looks like I need to borrow a Jack to take the wheels off. Also it sound like it's hard to find someone/somepace to do the work.

Default Code & Care Info from Goodyear

Please check the following:

http://www.goodyeartires.com/about/d...d_warranty.pdf

http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires...plications.pdf

The code on my tires are INSIDE. These publications have interesting information - inlcuding how to deciper the DOT code - direct from the manufacturer. You might want to print out and carry a copy with you as you travel.

Happy Camping!

Uh, yeah. I don't think you should ever travel without a jack and a lug wrench - and the knowledge of how to use them if you must. What will you do if you have a flat, either on your car or your trailer? Your car certainly has a jack stowed away somewhere, but that jack probably won't work for a trailer. You need to carry a jack for the trailer, too - many people recommend a 2-ton bottle jack.

Just my thoughts ...

Bill.
