Water Heater Electric Troubleshoot
Looking for some help on troubleshooting electric water heater, as now the heater will only work on propane.
Things I have tested and some background. I know where the switch is and have operated this heater on electric for several years. I am on my second heater element since I purchased this TM used, and I know it is good. TM is a 2008 3124KS . All fuses are good, no power issues anywhere else. However, I do not have power to the element.
Question, do I need to pull the heater out to test/replace the switch, or can the switch be switched out with the heater still installed? How do you get access to the thermostat on the side of the tank?
thanks in advance.

There are two buttons, each about the size of a quarter, on the outside of the heater. They are side by side, covered by a black rubber membrane. They are (barely) visible in this picture, just above and just left of center, above the silver/white printed label.

Push each one - if it clicks, your problem should go away.

I have pulled off the rubber cover for those reset buttons to ensure I was pressing the reset buttons, no click and no joy. Thanks for the response, I forgot to mention that I had done that.

Did you check the breakers? Fuses won’t help here. Does your fridge work on AC electric? They are on the same breaker, I think.

yes, all breakers are good, the fridge works fine on shore. I thought the thermostat might be 12V that's why I checked the fuses.
I'm leaning towards the switch or the thermostat, however, I don't see how to access them to test without pulling out the heater.

Driller -
Some new info was just added to the TM Technical Library by our long-time member DAB1950. At the moment, it is the first post in that forum, and the included material may help you.

Thanks, this helps!
I will post results once I figure out what's going on as this seems like a rare problem.
