Red face Really, really basic Towing Question

I'd be really embarassed to ask this, if I hadn't read enough of this forum to know that you all are super nice people. We are going to pick up our new TM 2720Sl next weekend, and I forgot to ask the dealer how long the trailer wire connector needed to be. They're closed now, and I need to get this ordered ASAP to get it in time. I'm thinking 6' should do it, but I'd hate to come up short. I've looked and looked and can't find a referance to the length anywhere. If someone would be so kind as to respond.... Thank you!

I'm a little confused, but will try and answer. You have the connector mounted to the Tow Vehicle, typically right by the hitch and ball. Then you have the Trail Manor connector, which is a cable long enough to reach the connector on your Tow Vehicle. If you have your hitch and brake controller installed with the connector on the rear of the Tow Vehicle....you're set. No other cables needed.
Does that help?

Hmmm.....my TM had the wire pigtail portion on it and they put the plug on TV. Are you thinking you have to provide the male pigtail part? That said, the dealer prep'd my TV too so I'll rely on the other experts here.

Ah! That may be the missing piece of info. If I understand correctly, you are saying the connector on the TM side is on a cord, so to speak? I was picturing it affixed to the trailer and immovable. Thank you!!

That's right. The trailer side connector is on the end of a cord. This connector plugs into the socket on your tow vehicle.
