Chevy Eqinox TV

Anybody out there towing a TM with a Chevy Equinox. Would like some feedback.

Trail manors are light weight but the tongue weight is more than 10%. Although my 2720SL weighs about 2700lb, the tongue weight must be about 350lb. It will weigh the back end down unless you either add air shocks or an WD hitch. The best choice is an equalizing hitch (Weight Distributing) hitch. However a WD hitch requires at least a class III hitch with a 2" square receiver. I could only find one on line for your vehicle and it is rated 400lb WDTW. It looks like the Equinox meets the minimum. But who am I to talk I have towed about 2000 mi with a 93 Volvo 940. See my old TV above.

I have zero experience, but then, you only asked for feedback. The only quick and easy info I could find on the Chevy site was their towing guide, which says that the Equinox has an 8000 pound combined vehicle weight rating. If you subtract the empty weight of the Equinox (which I don't know), how much do you have left for people, stuff, and the TrailManor?
