1 Gallon of Gas To Tow a TM 100 Miles!!

The banner at the top of the TM website says that it only takes about a gallon of gas to tow a TM 100 miles.

In the picture above our Suburban can only tow our 3326 10 miles on a gallon of gas. What are we missing?

That is fascinating. I too would like to know the details behind their super-vehicle. Specifically, where can I buy one.....

I guess they figure since you're vehicle is going there anyway, why not take the trailer with you, for another gallon.

Obviously you can't tow a trailManor 100 miles on one gallon of gas!

But that's NOT what the banner on the web page says. They say:

"It only takes about a gallon of gas to tow a 30-foot Trailmanor 100 miles."



IMHO, that is a false claim. They are missing the word "extra" as is in the fine print you get when you click the banner.

I actually can tow my TM for 0 gallons of fuel (diesel). I get 20/21 mpg with or without the TM.

It would be fairly easy to tow 100 miles on a gallon of gas, but I don't know of any downhills that long...

Would that be the open or closed length and how fast are you driving? Maybe that's with the gas generator running at idle and the TV running on Diesel?

It costs me about 8 miles per gallon to tow my 3326 as oppose to not towing anything (55-60 mph 24-26 unloaded, 16-18 loaded).

That's a lot better than the guy I bought it from that went from 13-15 to 9 with his new TV.

You know that ad is really beginning to offend me. I am going to call or e-mail TM and ask them for the data they used to make that bold a statement.

We all know its a great trailer. Maybe you can call a 2619 a 30' trailer though I don't see how. In my wildest imaginings I don't see how yo can drag a ton behind a SUV and only increase your gas mileage by 1 gallon in a hundred miles.

Let's all take the time to ask TM to put up or shut up.
