Default Auxiliary mirrors

Suggestions, please, for auxiliary mirrors--to "see around" the TM we're towing. Our towing vehicle is a 2000 Toyota Tacoma 4WD V6, and we will soon have a 2720SL TrailManor. Seems like we'll need some temporarily-attached mirror on longer arms, right? TIA

You will likely get a large number of recommendations for the McKesh for strap on mirrors.

I have them, but don't like them. What I what is Schefenacker permanent mirrors. The only thing stopping me from upgrading is money.

We have a 98 Tacoma and a TM 2720. We use McKesh mirrors. We can see down the side of the TM just fine. But seeing a point 200 feet behind the TM is problemactic. That point and distance is a requirement in Florida, where we live, and many states. The McKesh mirrors are easy to install/uninstall once you get the adjustments like you want them. After that first time, no real problem. Hope this helps.

Dick -

This board has hosted a ton of discussion on mirrors. Rather than repeat it all, you can find it by using the Advanced Search tool. Thanks.

This could be a solution for not being able to see what's behind the TM! I've seen them on big motorhomes! http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=91851

Jim -

Remember this thread? I'm not sure what became of it, but the principal (Jim Beletti http://www.beletti.com/travel/) appears to have moved up to a fifth wheel and left us. Anyone know any more?

Default Thanks a million, folks

I might have thought about using the search procedure first, but thanks for all your patience and information. I DID make the search, and there is a lot of good advice--some of it contradictory, all right! But that's what makes horse racin', right?

Anyhow, I think we'll start with the McKesh. (Thankfully, we don't have to fuss with mirror adjustment much.)

Cheers,

Dick B.
