Late the the game for this thread, but now that I see it, you may wish to consider upgrading the entire lighting fixture. We had LED replacements in our original fixtures and there just wasn't much light from them. It seemed really dim. So I upgraded the entire fixture to these:

Except, I did something very useful to these. I noticed in one of the comments on Amazon that the switch had 3 positions: on, off, and on. So, I soldered in a small resistor into one of the ON positions so I could have a bright or dim LED setting. I didn't take any pictures, nor do I remember what resistor I used, but it would take some trial and error to find the right level of brightness you want for the dim setting.
