Default Filling toilet hole

First... Hello! I am new to trailmanor, but not new to camping. I recently picked up a 2004 2619 and the previous owners sure didn't treat her right. I have been spending the last few weeks on a ton of items. WE have a permanent campsite and the TM will be our 2nd camper for some long trips we are planning.

Some things I already tackled

- Eternabond center roof line (After using some 5200 where some of it was coming up) Previous owner just kept caulking the trim instead of fixing some minor leaking issues the right way.... took me an entire day to get that junk off and clean!

- Pulled all fabric our - curtains, beds, couches.... everything is recovered...
- painted the entire interior (bottom and cabinets white, top is a grey
- pulled all the carpet and laid a vinyl flooring (looks like wood)
- Replaced tires with a load D radial
- previous owners did such a great job using 3 different types of Caulk all over the thing.... that took some time...
- Added an additional vent cover

So my question....

My next task is to rip out the toilet. I think I am going to just put a cassette in it. That way we when camp without full hook up I can just dump it instead of messing with a dump station. Has anyone done this and if so what did you use to fill and seal the whole?

- I was thinking about putting a 1/4 plywood under the TM and filling the whole with foam
- Option 2 was to cut round wood piece and try to caulk it in there

Has anyone did this? Also how hard is it to get that thing out of there and cap off the line to the dump.

I removed my toilet and use a Thetford 550 toilet. I just used some aluminum tape and covered the hole over from the inside and outside. I too thought about applied foam to the hole, but have not gotten around to do that yet. My TM had two separate drain connections, so for me all I ended up doing was remove the bolts from the flange inside and then cut off just below the floor bottom. Was not easy to cut it off, cause I had a very bad angle and access.
Now some folks have installed a cassette toilet that you can remove the tank to dump it from the outside. That would be my next big mod. Not sure if you'll have access to this section, if not I would suggest you become a member.

Kidkraz is right. Your 30-day free trial membership will run out tomorrow, if the software is paying attention, and you will lose access to all the good stuff here on the forum. As somebody said "Membership has its privileges". Look for a link to Site Sponsorship, either in the forum itself, or on the forum's entry page at www.trailmanorowners.com.

I plan on paying, thanks for the heads up.

Aluminum tape... Didn't think,of that. I wonder if I could tape off the outside and then foam from the inside. That would be easier.

Trailmanor man was the first that I know of that switched the toilet to a builtin cassette toilet. He has an accesst outside door for the cassette. You might want to pm him. Or do a search. Itwas 2-3 years ago and it look realy good.

I kept the factory toilet but bought 6 gallon sewer tote. It keeps the sewage outdoors and dumps into toilets just fine. Also bought a fresh water tote.
