Yep ran into the same issue. As it is now my chains appear to be 1-2 link too long. I'm trying to get ahold of Andersen to order a couple brackets. Not gonna cut or modify the chain until I see how the double brackets take up or add slack. Do you remember roughly how much the brackets cost? If nothing else I may just have a couple pieces made locally.

Don't remember what they cost. If you go to the Anderson Web Site, they have parts listed there. If you have one made, make sure you get the hole tapped where the set screw goes so it will not slip. As I remember, I drilled out the threads on the bracket and used the threads on the inside (added) bracket. I didn't use all the chain. I shortened it by moving the connector up a link and I let the one link dangle - just in case. Was always going to cut it off later - never did.

Did you use a different connector to attach the chain to the triangle plate? i couldn't get the provided connector to slip between 2 links of chain. Yeah I hear ya about tapping the hole for the set screw. I'm also thinking I'll have these spacers made of 3/4" steel instead of the 5/8" Andersen uses just to get that extra bit of clearance.

I used the links with the threaded coupling from lowes. Any one will work as long as it is stronger then the chain.
