Some more data. On etrailer's website they say the shipping weight for my swaypro is 96 pounds. I may have had about 30-40 pounds of stuff in the bed of the truck that was not there when weighed before. Interestingly, the truck was weighed on different CAT scales. So, if we guess that the actual weight of the hitch that went on the trailer and the truck is about 75 pounds, we get back very close to the hitch weight measured by TM.
2940 + 30 + 75 = 3045
3660 - 3045 = 615 (tongue weight?) Is this the right math?

Tires
Question, I need to replace the tires on my 2720 TM. Right now it has 195/75D14's on it, but it has a lift kit. I'm thinking about putting 15's on it this time. What size tire are you folks using when you go to 15 inch? 205, 215 or 225?
thanks :
Terry

With a lift kit you should be able to go to a 225x75R15 LRD but I used 205x75R15 LRD because mine doesn't. The LRD is important regardless. Also you will need at least 15x6" wheels, 15x5's are only rated for 1870 lbs. A 215 would be fine but I do not recall seeing one as a standard trailer tire.
ps a 195 sounds waaay too small for a 2720.

Here's my tongue weight on my "normally loaded" 3124KS. That means full propane tanks, but no water on board (fresh water tank sits very near the axle, so probably wouldn't affect TW very much). Multiply 150 x 4 = 600 lbs. TrailManor lists the "dry" tongue weight for the KD and the KS as the same, so I would say you're right in the ball park with 615.

Sounds about right. Know my 2720SL's tongue weight is 460 lbs, trying to figure out a way to weigh just one wheel so I can figure the side to side difference, know the street side is heavier. Maybe a 400 lb scale, a 2x12 plank, and some rollers. Does a 8' plank with the roller, 1 foot, TM, 5 ft, 400lb scale sound about right ? Actual is 20x scale ? Should be less than 2k pounds or am in trouble. Since I sold the RV I do not need the outside runners for the lift any longer.

With your set-up and a maximum scale weight of 400 lbs, I calculate 400 lbs x 6 = 2,400 lbs as the maximum possible weight reading on one tire. So, the actual scale reading x 6 = actual weight on one tire. I think it should work.

One more observation on my TM. The battery is up front on the right side under the dinette seat, so it might help to better balance the trailer than those who say they have it on the heavier left side. I will eventually go to two 6 volt batteries later on.
