I use the TST 507 system, and really like it. Unfortunately, I've had 2 display units go bad: on one, the display leaked internally, and you could see liquid streaks under the glass; on the other, EVERY part of the display illuminated, although I could occasionally get it to correctly display by wiggling the power cord (a loose connection, presumably). Fortunately, the company has been great to deal with, and they have promptly replaced by unit both times. Definitely recommended.

Just took a look on Amazon. I'm going to get one of these monitoring systems before next trip with the TM. My truck has a built in system for its tires so I'm OK there. I had no idea I could get something for TM tires.

Thx all.

I have the TST monitor. Have had no problems with them. After reading about all the problems people were having with blowouts when I joined the forum it was one of the first purchases I made for the trailer. It worked just like it should have when we had the blowout. In our case there as a pop when it went. One of the big reasons I got them was in case I picked up a nail and the tire slowly deflated there is a likelihood that you would never know until the tire had all but disintegrated. You would be at the very least be buying a new rim, maybe lose your plumbing or possibly worse.

The only other time it has gone off was one time when I was dumping. It was on and went off when I dumped the grey water. I figured if it detected a rapid change in tire pressure from taking the weight of the grey water off the tire it was working fine.

I always keep an eye on it when driving even though the alarm should warn you of any problem. It is kind of interesting how temperature from the sun and road friction effect the tire pressure. Another reason is that I think if you are having a bearing going out there is likely to be a significant increase it tempter unless it just blows apart. I suppose there is also the unlikely possibility you could have a brake hang up.

I felt it was worth the money from day one. Too many people have had too many problems related to blowouts.

Gladiators (15") is what we have on ours too. I was kind of wondering about some feed back on that brand. Made in March 2014, so I am definitely going to make a note and reminder of the date.

With all of the "badge engineering" that goes on in the tire industry, the real question is "who made them and where ?". The first two number/letters after the DOT logo on the sidewall give the manufacturing plant of the tires. Is it "J2" on yours ?

As a matter of fact, I checked this evening and indeed my code is J2.

I'm guessing this is not the ideal location??

See here.

Been looking at Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and already have three different displays up front in addition to the dash. Has anyone used one that has an Android app ?
