I had a e150 that ate tires. I went to Michelin LT tires at 45 psi and begun getting 70K+ out of them. That was after a good alignment by a truck shop where they made 3 bends to the I-beams. I think the new truck have adjustable cambers so there would not be a need to bend the I-beams.

Decided to call my dealership to inquire about this and was told that my truck has received the redesigned inter cooler intake. Thanks redtail for posting.

Yes, B.lily, it is typical for half ton trucks to have passenger rated tires on them.
The truck manufactures save a little money by putting these on instead of LT tires. Most truck owners don't go off road much and the passenger tires offer a better ride ( less stiff sidewalls). My truck came with a 4x4 Off Road package and it still came with P rated tires. I boondock about 50% of the time and I intend on putting 35 to 40,000 miles on the stock passenger tires then put LT tires on. If I ruin them quicker than that boondocking then I will replace them sooner.

What Tim said is true, I had to specify LT tires as part of the my build order. If you don't go off roading much, the passenger tires are probably preferable for the softer ride.

after 41k miles our P metric tires were history, one blowout and a slow leaker through the tread area. Replaced with Toyo A/T LT tires. Had to use higher air pressure to get the desired load rating for the LT's. They have 57k miles on them and we plan to replace with the A/T II.

i will keep the p rated tires for a while too. the LT's i want are $275 each. starting search for 2720 or 2619. looking at one this weekend at rv lot, but seems overpriced at $15,000 for a 2008. i will offer less if it's in decent shape.

I have to echo most of the comments so far. My F150 ecoboost super crew tows my 3124 with ease. I get 17 - 18 highway towing, 16-17 on secondaries. Without the tow it's 21-22 highway and 17-18 on secondaries. I did test drive the Toyoda Tundra and liked it a lot but the local dealers were not interested in making any sort of deal and considering I was trading a 4runner?. Oh well. I am more than pleased with the Ford so far only have 8k on it so far. Time well tell. Good luck with yours.
