Default Armoire Shelf Mod (not really)

I was ready to make shelves and then I saw these (at Wally World) for approx $8 each. What I like about these are; being that they are canvas (with hard inserts) you can easily move the shelves up to make a bigger storage area, if needed.

I keep seeing people doing this. But where do you store your coats?

Where do you store your dress slacks and shirts for when you go out for a Saturday night dinner?

I don't ahve the dinner problem, because we usually boon dock, or close to it. But my coat, even foled up, will not fit in that size cubby hole.

The sweat pants and sweat shirt would also not do well.

I made a shelf mod as well. I will figure out where to put the coats when I start dragging my TM through 20 miles of foot deep snow and mud like you do.

Our shelf mod only takes up about 2/3 of the closet, so there is room on the right side for "nice" clothes. When folded down, the nice clothes are on top and hopefully won't get wrinkled.

The left side has three shelves, we put our foldable items in there. I designed it so that each person in the family had their own shelf, in order of height. Somehow during the kids' growing years I ended up on the bottom.

Now that the kids don't go with us that much, we seem to have tons of room for stuff .

You can simply remove one side and use the full length (let it rest at the bottom). It only uses velcro to attach to the top bar. You can also lift the canvas shelves up to any desired height without detaching it.
