I haven't tested that stretch of Intestate 80 lately, but I would expect the Adventuremobile and TM to be able to hold at least 40 anywhere on the Interstate system. It worked fine ten years ago when I had a Ford V10 motorhome with a Toad, and these days with the TM we have at least 50% more torque per pound of combined RV than we did then.

I've always assumed that people driving 20 or 30 on the highway are having issues of one kind or another, but I've never slowed down long enough to offer any helpful suggestions unless they actually stop.

Around 1976 my parents were towing a popup behind a Chevy Caravel.

Drilled a hole in the rear wall below the trunk and installed a Bargman connector. They were ready to tow anything.

thanks for the memory. I don't recall what they had for a tow ball. I think they did have an under bumper receiver.
