Default Weight Distribution Hitch

I have a swing hitch on my 2720SL and am trying to find a Weight Distribution Hitch that will work. I've search this site extensively and found that some of you recommended a Reese Round Bar with the swing hitch, so apparently it can be done. I've taken it to local shops here and have called several dealers that I found on the internet that sells the Reese, but no one seems to have anything thing that will work with a swing hitch. If anyone has suggestions on where to buy and exactly what model and manufacture, I certainly would appreciate it. Thanks!

I used this EazLift hitch (1000#) on my 2720 and 2720SL and my F150 with no problems relating to the swing hitch.

I did not buy or need the optional anti-sway attachment. I no longer use the hitch since I moved to a F250.

The original owner of our unit also sold me his Husky WDH (1,000 lb spring bars) and anti sway bar. I have not needed to use the anti sway bar. As you can see from the attached thumbnails, there is just enough room to install the spring bar lift brackets.

I have a swing hitch and CustomRV mounted a Pro Eagle WDH to it when I bought it. I have had no problems with interference.

I am unsure as to the exact model number but it looks very similar to this one on amazon:http://www.amazon.com/Pro-Eagle-1000.../dp/B000GGJQX0

I have not had issues with sway despite a lack of a sway control device.

I will be picking up a 3326 shortly, using a 2005 Ford F350 DRW as the TV.

Reading about WDH's, the general consensus from the sites I looked at is that a WDH is desirable when the loaded trailer weighs more than 50 % of the TV weight.

I know that my F350 loaded with 88gal of diesel weighs 9200 lbs. I also know from the Trailmanor specs that the GVW rating of the 3326 is 4916 lbs.

This is more than 50% of the weight of a F350 dually. So my question is why are people towing these trailers with less truck without a WDH? I previously owned a 3124 and towed it with a Trailblazer, perhaps a bit naive at the time but it managed it. I am not attacking any decision by other owners, just trying to understand the use of the WDH I know is on the unit I am buying.

My dually by the way has been towing a 38 foot toy hauler the last two years, and has the Tow Boss system to do it. But I am curious about using or not using a WDH for this vehicle. I apologize if this is considered a thread hijack, not my intent. This seemed like a good place to post the question in context.

The reason that some of us prefer not to use the WDH is because of the weight and shock loading that is transferred to the trailer tires. My 14" tires (for instance) are very close to maxed out. Adding additional loading may result in reduced tire life. TMs are known for tire failure as it is, I (for one) am not interested in adding additional stress to the tires. I don't think this is an issue on your 2007 Trailmanor 3326. It should hanle a WDH just fine.

I have a 157" WB and I have not experienced any front-end control issues.

Paul,

I don't think you need to worry about a WDH with that rig. I tow a 3326 with a '04 F250 SWD without a WDH. The rear of the truck drops about 2 inches when the TM is attached. There is minimal bounding related to shock loading with this configuration. I do have a WDH and will consider using it if I find myself loading the truck bed with a lot of weight. I find that the dual axle 3326 tows much smoother than the single axle 2720SL.
