Default Hitch Quieting Devices

I searched the forum and didn't find anything out there... Does anyone have any shareable experience with these types of devices? From the research that I have done thusfar, there seems to be three distinct types.

This type:
http://www.hitchrider.com/nowobble.htm

This one:
http://www.etrailer.com/mm5/merchant...ategory_Code=L

And finally, this type:
http://www.campingworld.com/printabl...31782&tcode=20

Just to be clear, this is not for when my TM is hooked up to my WDH. This is for when I use my storage platform or bike rack.

Thanks in advance for your comments and advice.

I have no experience with any of these, but my bike rack has a built in nut that the hitch pin tightens into - something like your 2nd example from Valley. It works very well, but then the nut is welded into the receiver tube. It looks to me like either the 1st or 3rd options would be easiest to install. Let us know what you decide and how it works.

On my old car, I had a shop drill a hole into the bottom of the receiver and weld in a nut. I then screwed in a 1/2" bolt and tightened it up against the ball mount, which completely eliminated any play. Cheap and easy.

I bought 1 like in your 3rd link. As I remember, I got it a Wally World. It works as advertised. I temporarily removed the rubber plug on the bumper over the receiver to allow access to the bolt to snug it up.

etrailer.com has several to choose from -

http://www.etrailer.com/mm5/merchant...tegory_Code=ar

- the one from Camping World got a couple of bad reviews - seems the bolt doesn't stay tight. The one at etrailer called a wedge looks pretty simple and cheap! After looking at some of these devices, it looks like the key may be to attach it so it does NOT lift the hitch. Holding the hitch to the bottom or one side of the receiver would reduce the force on the device.
Other thoughts?
