Default Honda Ridgeline/2027 SL

I am a new member who has never towed.

I have a 2007 Honda Rideline with tow pgk - which is rated at 5000 lbs.

I am looking at a TM 2027 SL.

Does anyone have experience with towing with the Honda - looking for advise

We have a 3326K and tow with the Honda Ridgeline. You should have absolutely no trouble towing a 2027SL. Do a search of Ridgeline. There are several who have commented on towing with this truck--a very capable tow vehicle and an outstanding everyday ride.

Lou:

Can you tell me what a "Equal-i-zer WD/Sway Control" is and what it does?

Bill,

Check the www.equalizerhitch.com site for much information on the weight-distribution (WD)/sway control features of this particular weight distribution hitch. The site also has an excellent video.

We would never consider towing without a WD hitch and the Equal-i-zer not only does the weight distribution but also provides the added protection of sway control, as it incorporates sway control into its design and function. A weight distribution hitch may not be needed with the shorter TrailManors, according to a few members of this forum, but with the longer units it certainly is necessary, in my opinion. And having sway control in addition to WD is an additional safety feature. When towing there are too many situations that can suddenly come up which can induce sway. The truth is that any trailer can unexpectedly go into a dangerous sway, given the numerous unforseen situations out there, and especially when towing a heavier and longer unit.
