Default Towing with 2007 2wd 5.3L V8

OK, I pick up my new 2720 in about 5 weeks. I'm going to try without a WDH initially. What sort of hitch ball mount drop do you think I need. The back on my avalanche sits up a little higher than a regular pick-up. It also has an auto leveling system fo the suspension and I have no idea how well it will work. My guess is OK with the the light 2720. Anyhow, do I need a 2 inch, 4 inch or no drop on the hitch ball mount?

Default Hitch height

You might check with your dealer. Often they supply a receiver and ball as part of the deal. It's pretty hard to predict since you don't know how much you tow vehicle will drop with the tongue weight.

It's worth asking them. Enjoy the new TM!

The dealer set up mine and that TV is more than enough for a 2720.

If I recall correctly (and I may not), the TM is level when the top of the coupler is about 18" off the ground. This suggests that you should buy a ball mount that puts the top of the ball about 19" above the ground (unloaded), to allow for 1" of settling when you add the hitch weight.
