Default Fire Pit & Outside Grill: LP Quick Connect & Storage Tube

Trailmanor: LP Quick Connect and Storage Tube

On our other campers I installed a quick connect LP fitting so I could plug in our LP portable fire pit, grills, etc. I wanted to add this convenience to our Trailmanor 2720.

Directly behind the LP tanks (under the camper) is a Tee fitting in the LP line (actually a 4 way fitting). The part facing aft is capped (3/8" SAE/Flare). This is where the portable line hard-plumbs into the LP system. I used a 10' hose with a valved quick disconnect fitting on the other end. The extra hose is stored inside the tube that I show in this video. This allows me to have a little extra hose (the fire pit and grill have 12' hose on them) for placement of the fire pit or grill. When finished, the camper-side hose slides back inside the PVC pipe storage tube.

Love it! I was not aware of the T behind the tanks. I would love to be able to stop carrying the 5lb LP tank for the BBQ. You can bet that will be one of the first mods I do come spring!
I can see either a single line like you have, or running a shorter line with a quick connect at the edge of the TM and using a separate hose stored elsewhere. But your storage tube design is nice, for either set-up.

I keep debating about adding a quick connect. On a front slide model the tanks are not really serviceable when the camper is set up. But at the same time it would be nice to not have to lug another 20lb propane tank (or two!)… But this is great info!
