I find the traction control does about as well as a limited slip, it brakes the spinning tire to transfer to the other. Mine is just a 2WD but never had a problem and lots less things to go rong.

ps my shifter is a lever with positions & can select gears by moving sideways.

Very NICE!!! We were originally going to get the 2016 Ram 1500 CrewCab (5'7" bed, RAM box, 3.92 rear end, tow package -complete with the flip-up tow mirrors) but alas, the local dealer let me take one home to see if it would fit in my garage. I had to shoe-horn it in and would have had to get it just right, each time. That, and the fact that SO did not want a truck...

I can open the tailgate of my Heep when the garage door is closed. For me it is a very nice package particularly the 90% of the time when not towing.

Must admit that in all my years of towing, I've never had a pickup.

i think that if I pull farther forward, I could open my tailgate on the Durango. As it is now, once I am in, as I am shifting from D to P, I pause (momentarily) in R, to turn on the backup camera. With it on, I can confirm that the threshold of my garage is just past the first dotted line of the trailer guide. This lets me know I am in far enough. The Durango is 199" long (vs the 229 of the RAM 1500), so I think, if front bumper was near wall, the tailgate would open (with the garage door closed).

And my Jeep is 189.9", about 10" shorter. Since when the house was built I had a 67 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special Brougham @ 227.5" long, it has a deep garage.
