ripp1202,

I had never heard of Hell, MI. What campground was it and would you recommend it?

I see that Yorkie again! Here's a link to my pics from Yorkiefest that we spoke about last: http://www.beletti.com/travel/100104/100104.shtml

Take care and hope to see you on the trail next season,

Jim

Smile Been to Hell and back

I love traveling back roads and found Hell in the '70s. I've been known to tell my students and athletes (in all honesty) that I've been to hell and back. I keep an old MI AAA map to prove the point.

I was in HI in the '90s when I heard on the radio that they were going to prove that it was hotter than hell in Honolulu (it was 93). Sure enough, they called the Post Office in Hell, MI to find out that it was in the 70s there. I could see it coming and really surprised the people with me.

Thanks for bringing back fond memories.

I can go you one better . I had dinner in Hell, Norway back in 1976! My proof is a photo of me standing under the train station sign with the station clock reading 6:06 . I even bought a postcard showing the sign and sent it to my church pastor (of course, he had the right sense of humor to appreciate it).

Pickney ,Michigan is where we camp, State Park on bruin lake, up State Rt. 23 past Ann Arbor , Mich. exit 49 .Nice place but was cold had some big fires and got to try out the furnace worked great. We went so the kids could go paintballing at the Hell Survivors course.Nice place dropped the kids off and picked them up 4 hours later and $150.00 less in the wallet. We all had fun and that is what counts!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice pic. of all the Yorkies, Penny would have liked it! and by the way I now own a piece of HELL ,I payed $6.66 for 1 square inch of land! could not afford more 1 square foot cost $959.04 but I can put anything on my land just so long as it fits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mmmmmm. 44,560 sq ft per acre times 144 square inches per sq ft times $6.66 per square inch.

I think there is a homeowner's exemption if he can get the house built before the end of the year.
