Unhappy 2007 models have "cheap jacks"

I heard that TM has done away with the good 5000 pound jacks on the new 2007 models. I liked not having to worry about putting too much weight on one jack.

I just spent an enjoyable morning looking at your pictures. Aren't welcome signs to states fun? Does the Debian Dog go with you?

Debian dog has passed for some years but I keep the name in rememberance. We have 8 dogs now (DW is a Vet so we get lots of doggie rejects) but have yet to pick one or two to bring.

Default Stabilizing Jacks

We are getting off the subject. What is up with the 2007 Jacks. I have the 2003 2720SD model and find the jacks adequate to support the corners except fore and aft movement. This is where you need good wheel chocks to prevent the sway. Trying to do much leveling is hard with the hand crank though.

Use an 18 Volt cordless drill/screwgun and a 5/16" allen wrench. Stick the short end of the allen wrench in the jack hole and put the torque setting on Hi and up she goes.
I don't know about the jacks on the 2007. My 2006 has 5000# rated ones.

Yep and the 2007 ones do not. Not sure what they are but they are not 5000 pounders.

My 2007 has the 5000 # Jacks. Where did you see that the jacks were changed?

The dealer. I was having some service done and was chit-chatting about the new 2007's. He said he had one in (a 2007) and could not believe they did away with the "good jacks". It was already sold so he could not show me.

Thumbs up 2007 2720SD Jacks

I'm wondering if they changed somewhere midstream in the production cycle. I just checked my new 2007 2720SD and it has 5000# jacks.
