TM Width

Most trailers are 96" wide, the TM's are 91" (outside width). they would certainly be roomier with the additional width, is it a weight factor?

If the TM glowers then my old Aliner cowered (when between two huge Rv's.
Talk about feeling out of place (although the owners of the monsters would come and look at the Aliner and say its 'cute'.

Actually it's a size factor, a garage door size factor. RV width is measured outside wall to outside wall, The TM = 91". Doorknobs, clearance lights, porchlights, awnings, etc. add to the advertised width. On average, you need less than 96" to fit through a single wide garage door.

If the TM were that much wider (5"), a lot of us would need to get mirrors that could go out a lot farther than they do now. I don't think I could find anything to fit my Jimmy - short of installing some "Westcoast" truck mirrors. That's something I refuse to do! I will not change tow vehicles either - I like the gas mileage I get with my Jimmy. Besides, it has my name all over it! (Jim - Jimmy!) Jim
