When wiring the TV. I would add the backup lights. Sure is nice to have backup lights when pulling in after dark.

Correct, it stays paired. ... at least it is supposed to stay paired and so far it has... I unplugged the remote and pack it away for a few weeks while the TM was stored in the garage and when I plugged back in the remote was still paired
