Two questions - Awning support? Vent screens

Has anyone found and pardon my terminology, but the aluminum awning supports that bow up to let the water shed easier than the standard awning support? They have them in CampingWorld but they are 139.00 for a set of two which seems a little steep for pieces of aluminum. Even if you use something different, im all ears, or eyes I guess.

Also, has anyone found anything to place on the vents on the backside of the refrigerator and hot water heater to keep out bugs. I guess you could use standard window screen material but it would be tough to keep it in place or would you have to cut and fit the screen every time you take the vents off?
