Default Lift arm Pins?

So, one of my acorn nuts spun off on our maiden voyage (did not notice it until I'd opened the camper a couple times (post-trip). It is the nut closest to the door on the rear shell. I've reached out to Sonja and it would appear they've changed the design and don't have access to parts from the old design, which leads me to my questions:

1) Anyone know who supplied that hardware, that I could reach out to them directly?

2) Anyone know what the specs are for the acorn nut?

3) Does it support the shell? (in other words, if I were to remove the pin to find a nut at the hardware store, do i need to support the shell (2x4, etc)?

4) Should I be placing a little bit of lock-tite on parts like this to keep them in place? (something like Blue 242)?

5) The replacement pin / cap-nut (new design) seems to not be up to the task. there is a ridge, just in from the edge of the pin, that the "fingers" of the cap nut settle in to. Should I trust this and replace with the new setup?
