Using TM "quick connect" propane connection

Has anyone modified their grill (removed regulator) to use TM "quick connect" propane connection? I'm looking at buying a portable grill and my TM came with propane quick connect, and I'm having trouble finding a grill that will work with low pressure connection. Researching on internet, it sounds like a lot of folks modify their grills to make this work. Any advice or experience with this?

I have read on other forums how to do this. I do know that the Weber grills can be modified. Try a google search. Basically, you remove the pressure regulator and then install a quick connect on the grill. That may take an adaptor to do. Some put in a split configuration that allows you to still use the regulator that comes with the grill for high pressure propane sources.
